Thousand Islands SDA Repairs Channels at RT 03/01 Kelapa Island

Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency has repaired several water channels near public cemetery at RT 03/01, Kelapa Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands Sub-district.

We have started the repair since October 6 and estimated to finish today

Thousand Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Abdul Rouf stated, his side repaired water channels with total length of 40 meters and width 35 centimeters.

"We repair it by installing 6-inch pipe. Previously, this channel can't be functioned well because land around the site collapsed," he mentioned, Tuesday (10/13).

Besides, his side also repaired manhole in 6 locations by cementing and repairing its cover.

"We have started the repair since October 6 and estimated to finish today," he stated.

Meanwhile, Kelapa Island Urban Village Governance Section Head, Muslim conveyed, his side has coordinated with Thousand Islands SDA Sub-agency related to resident's report on some damaged water channels in the area.

"We hope those channels can be repaired soon to anticipate inundation. Moreover, now we have entering rainy season," he closed.
